Our Mission
Since 1964, Allison House has been providing a safe, caring home away from home for secondary students from remote and rural Far West NSW. We believe every young person - no matter how far from town they live - deserves the same access to education, support, and opportunity as anyone else.

We know that sending your child to board in town is a big decision. At Allison House, students don't just have a place to sleep - they have a community around them.
Our House Parents provide daily care and guidance, helping young people grow in confidence, independence and life skills while feeling genuinely safe and supported.

Students boarding at Allison House attend one of Broken Hill's two public high schools. Both are within easy reach, with daily transport provided.
